I have created a subscription package to try and bring in some donations. This subscription will upgrade your account to a "Supporter" account. With this your account will be upgraded and many restrictions are removed as well as many new options and abilities added. You can find and subscribe to this subscription by going to My Controls and in the left column near the bottom Paid Subscriptions. The donation amount is currently set at $10 per year.

Here are some the features included in the Supporter group:

File uploads in posts - unlimited
Avatar uploads - allowed
PM attachments - allowed
Send email to other users via the forum
Mass PM - unlimited
Storable PM's - 100
Topic rating - enabled
Open/close own topics - enabled
Flood control - not enforced

Gallery:

Bandwidth - unlimited
Album creation - unlimited
Image uploads - unlimited
Comment/rate images - enabled
Multimedia uploads - unlimited

Registry (aka Garage):

Supporters will have full access to create a virtual garage to store images of their rides, mods, stats, and anything else they want to show off.

Please note while many of these options are stated as being "unlimited" the use of these features will be monitored. Abuse of any of these privileges WILL result in warnings, removal of privileges, and/or permanent banning.

Server limitations if reached may also result in privilege changes and/or subscription availability. The server currently requires upgrades so if this is successful that is where the money will be going. If there are any questions please feel free to reply to this topic.

Secondly while reviewing the list of supporters it has come to my attention the once the year is up the accounts are not being down graded. I thought this was automatic but apparently it is not or I can't find the setting for it...yet. SO I will be forcing the down - grade of those who are expired back to the Member status. The donations are for one year only and most of you got a little extra ride which is no big deal to me, just understand that when you donated it is stated for one year only.

Tomorrow marks the birthday of the official registration of the domain name 2GSS.org! Amazingly we have been around 6 years! The few "old timers" still around will remember that we actually started a while before the name was chosen. We haven't really ever done anything "special" for this event and for whatever reason I think we should this time. I think I will challenge the Admin Team to pick 1 or 2 members who are currently NOT supporters but are good active community members, and we will "award" them with a free year of Supporter status. We will determine these individuals in our super secret admin area and they will be announced later this weekend.

I just want to note that when using paypal's E-check method your account does not automatically get upgraded here on the forum like the instant payment method does. Hello everyone, this is THE OFFICIAL GROUP BUY!

My last topic in the Group Buy is only going to be used for ideas and comments. This is for the OFFICIAL part of the group buy. If you have any questions, please PM me and I will get back to you on that day.

Here are the details:

1) The company we are going with is TCSportline, the same company that was used for the carbon fiber hoods a while back.

2) We NEED A MINIMUM of 15 people for this group buy to go through with them

3) PLEASE do not add yourself to the list, the official list will be posted by me or Oscar ONLY, please do not add yourself to it. We will add people as they pay....I only want the members who have put in their deposit on the list. If you are still undecided, we will add you to the Maybe list which means you have not paid but need some time to think.

4) You can have either a fiberglass trunk or carbon fiber trunk, but there will only be on style for all of them: OEM with 3rd Brake light and no key hole.

5) Most people are probably going to go with carbon fiber, but if you want fiberglass, it is about $80 cheaper to have the trunk made in fiberglass.

6) The price for the CF trunk is looking to be $415 and fiberglass $335. This price does not include shipping.

7) TO JOIN THE LIST, just like the TCS hoods deposit amount, there will be a $200, non refundable deposit to oscar91932. If you wish to leave the group-buy after you made your deposit, you must find someone else to take your place. So for you members who need to save up money this will help since you only need to pay part of the payment in right away and the other half when production starts.

8) If for any reason the group buy doesn’t go through (as in if we don’t get the required amount of people) your deposit WILL be refunded and only if the group buy doesn’t go through.

9) After TCS receives the deposit, they will begin production on the trunks. When this happens, Oscar or I will post that it has started, and at that time, you will pay the remaining balance on the trunks. Payments will be taken in the same form of the deposit. Orders will be made and shipping in the order of which it is received. If you do not have your full payment made, you will be passed up until it is received so we do not delay the process. Shipping should be around $110 to an East Coast Business address and around $140 to a residential address (this information was taken from the hoods group buy.) Also it is cheaper for members near each other if the shipping is combined.

10) To send your payment, you must PM me and I will give you the Paypal address.
