Turbo Theory, Realistic and attainable! Options

I know the turbo topic comes up from time to time, well I'm bringing it up again. I've been doing a lot of research on turbos. I started out looking into turbocharging the 89 Civic I just bought as a second vehicle for $750. As I learned more, I started thinking (again) about turbocharging my 2.4L Sebring.

I believe past discussions on this have been on the wrong track. They usually end up with "try using these SRT4 parts", or "Rich has this kit for 1G's that could be made to work on our 2G's", or "just swap your engine for the 2.4L Turbo from an SRT4".

What if I told you I have found a realistic and plausable way to turbocharge our 2.4L's for around $2k or less? What if I told you that you could take that same turbo setup even further for another $875? What if I told you this set up could give you more power than an SRT4 swap, and have you beating stock SRT4's? Ok it may be too soon to say that, but it's definately possible.

I don't have time to do a full write up on this right now, but I will soon I promise. So far the turbo setup cost is at $999. The only thing I haven't included in that is a fuel management system, and new fuel injectors, because I haven't decided which ones will work best yet. It also doesn't include the cost of pipes, because I haven't decided on the size and number of bends.

I've found forged internals that will work in our 2.4L for $875, which includes a set of pistons, rings, and rods.
